Best bit is definitely the live interactive demonstrations that occur about every half hour that vary between "built it" classes to hands on demonstrations how the intestines make poo. The volunteers genuinely love their work and make science real and fun.
Fantastic that all the demo stations are well maintained and work all the time (I've been elsewhere and seen science demos with 90% broken sets - I'm looking at you Valencia city of science and arts) which gives it a really top of the class professional feel.
My 4 year old loved it so it isn't just for older kids.
